PURPOSE: A hyper eutectic Ai-Si alloy with excellent free machinability is provided which can be well suited for uses demanding ductility and wear resistance such as inclined plate of compressor for automobile air conditioner without anodizing or Sn-plating. CONSTITUTION: The eutectic Ai-Si alloy comprises Cu 3.0 to 5.0 wt.%, Si 13.0 to 17.0 wt.%, Fe 0.2 to 0.5 wt.%, Bi 2.5 to 6.0 wt.%, P 0.005 to 0.02 wt.%, Mg 0.1 wt.% or less, Ni 0.1 wt.% or less, Mn 0.5 wt.% or less, a total amount of other elements 0.5 wt.% or less, and a balance of Al.
