PURPOSE: An axial pressure seal lubricator is provided to prevent the excessive amount of lubricant from being supplied into a compressor chamber, and to supply lubricant properly by arranging an oil supply port downstream of the beginning of the scroll wrap. CONSTITUTION: A scroll compressor(20) comprises first and second scroll members having a base and a spiral wrap extending from the base; a shaft(32) for causing the second scroll member to orbit and rotating by an electric motor; a coupling(30) positioned within the scroll compressor to constrain the second scroll member to orbit; a crankcase supporting the second scroll member, and having at least one seal for defining a back pressure chamber between an end face of the crankcase and a rear part of the base of the second scroll member; and an oil supply passage(34) extending radially and outwardly through the base of the second scroll member to an oil supply port(42) extending downwardly through the base toward the crankcase. The oil supply port is positioned radially between the seal and the coupling, and the oil supply passage is positioned in the downstream direction from an outer end of the wrap of the second scroll member by the angle of 0 to 90 degrees.
