METHOD OF MOLDING AIRBAG COVER BODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of integrally molding an airbag cover body with an instrument panel without formation of underfills. SOLUTION: The method of integrally molding the airbag cover body with an instrument panel includes a die clamping process for clamping first and second dies brought close together, and a resin material injection process for injecting a resin material into a cavity formed by the first and second dies. The method also includes a rupturing groove formation process in which a core for formation of a rupturing groove, provided slidably relative to the second die, is displaced from a retreated position to a rupturing-groove formation position toward the first die until the resin material hardens after the resin material injection process.
