PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a substantially non-sensitized and monochromatic thermography recording material which shows an improved image tone stability essential for manufacturing a printed matter having an image tone not depending much upon storage time prior to printing and recording/keeping time after printing. SOLUTION: This monochromatic thermography recording material is substantially non-sensitized, including a heat-sensitive element and a support. In addition, the heat-sensitive element contains at least one kind of substantially non- sensitized organic silver salt and an organic reducing agent, an image tone stabilizer and a binder which are required in the relationship of a thermal action with the organic silver salt. Further, the image tone stabilizer is a chemical compound complying with formula (I) wherein, R1 is a hydrogen, an alkaline metal ion, an ammonium ion, a phosphonium ion, a sulfonium ion, an alkaline earth ion, an alkyl or the like; R2 is an alkyl, a cycloalkyl, a heterocycle, an alkaryl, an aralkyl, a heteroaryl or an aryl group; X is a hydrogen, an alkaline metal ion, an ammonium ion, a phosphonium ion, a sulfonium ion or an alkaline earth ion. |
