PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a cleaning efficiency of a particulate. SOLUTION: A wall flow type filter for cleaning an exhaust gas is provided with a large number of cells 10A an entrance end of each of which is opened and an exit end is sealed against an exhaust gas stream and a large number of cells 10B an entrance end of each of which is sealed and an exit end is opened and has a large number of apertures for passing the exhaust gas on an inner wall 11 of the cell. The cells 10A end of each of which is not sealed are adjacent to each other when viewing from an exhaust gas flowing-in side. |
