PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating head capable of forming stable beads and free from defects such as streaking and a coating apparatus using the coating head. SOLUTION: The coating head 21 is provided with a front wall 22, a rear wall 23 and a partition wall 24 separating both walls from each other and a side wall 25 is fixed respectively to the front wall, the rear wall and the both side parts of the partition wall. A 1st reserving part 21A is formed between the front wall and the partition wall and a 2nd reserving part 21B is formed between the rear wall and the partition wall. A curved surface shaped end part 26 is formed at the tip of the partition wall, a vertical surface 27 continuous to the surface of the curved surface shaped end part is formed at the side of the partition wall facing the front wall and an inclined surface 28 inclined at 15-30 deg. to the vertical surface continuous to the curved surface shaped end part is formed at the side of the partition wall facing the rear wall. The front wall and the partition wall are formed to be higher than the rear wall, a discharge slit S1 is formed between the upper end of the front wall and the partition wall surface facing the same and a suction slit S2 for the coating liquid is formed between the upper part of the rear wall and the partition wall surface facing the same.
