PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a highly reliable multilayer ceramic electronic component exhibiting excellent moisture resistance by suppressing or preventing the occurrence of delamination in a sintering process. SOLUTION: A content of lead in the composition of a lead composite perovskite system ceramic material composing a ceramic green sheet for an intermediate layer and a ceramic green sheet for a cover not arranged with an inner electrode pattern is set higher than the content of lead in the composition of a lead composite perovskite system ceramic material composing a ceramic green sheet arranged with an electrode. In the lead composite perovskite system ceramic material composing the ceramic green sheet arranged with an electrode, the ratio A/B of an A site and B site is set at 1.00 and in the lead composite perovskite system ceramic material composing the ceramic green sheet for the cover and the ceramic green sheet for the intermediate layer, the ratio A/B of the A site and B site is set in the range of 1.01-1.02.
