PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transfer device and an information transfer method that permit the speeding up and cost reduction of information transfer. SOLUTION: The information transfer device has a plurality of DMAC 5s any of which is operated, transfers the information from a main memory 4 during the transmission and receives the transferred information during the reception, a plurality of FIFO 6s that are composed in correspondence to DMAC 5s, temporarily stores the information transferred from DMAC 5 during the transmission and temporarily stores the information to be transferred to DMAC 5 during the reception, and a DMA arbiter 3 that controls the arbitration of transfer operation regarding a plurality of DMAC 5s while permitting a software part to change the priority sequence based on the transfer condition, and changes the priority sequence of arbitration between the channels, regarding DMAC 5s with a plurality of channels mounted, in response to the transfer status using a piece of software, thereby bringing about the speeding up and cost reduction of the information transfer.
