PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production line control system capable of improving a nondefective rate and yield of products such as TFT boards produced by processes with different clean levels without raising a clean level of the whole of a buffer station. SOLUTION: This system is provided with a process control computer 1 for performing a progress control of each lot by imparting a process number corresponding to each process on a production line to a lot and controlling the process number and a carrying device/manufacturing device communication control computer 2. The process control computer 1 controls driving of carrying devices TA1 to TAn via the carrying device/manufacturing device communication control computer 2 so that an in-process lot may be stored in a shelf of a shelf number corresponding to the process number imparted to the lot, in the buffer station.
