PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixed electrode for a switch that eliminates, with a small space, an excess turning part due to play of an opening/closing mechanism part to an introduction position of a fixed contact of a movable contact blade, and can contribute to miniaturization. SOLUTION: A buffer member 42 is provided so as to cross an extension line of an introduction locus of the movable contact blade 19. The buffer member 42 is disposed between both fixed contacts 31 and 31 and near the tip of the movable contact blade 19 at the introduction position. The buffer member 42 is made of synthetic resin material such as EPR having insulating property and elasticity. Therefore, in introduction, the tip of the movable contact blade 19 collides against the upper surface of the buffer member 42. Therefore, overrun of the movable contact blade 19 in the introduction is prevented, and the movable contact blade 19 does not turn largely beyond the introduction position. Since the buffer member 42 is made of the elastic material, impact of the movable contact blade 19 in the introduction can be moderated.
