PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a linear actuator whose cost can be reduced without damaging the slidability of a movable part. SOLUTION: The linear actuator is provided with a fixed part 20, a movable part (30) for holding an object movably to the fixed part, and a guide (40) for regulating movement other than that in the moving direction of the movable part. The movable part is provided with metal bearings (44a and 44b), and the metal bearings are slid to the guide. Preferably, the metal bearings are provided with guide holes polygonal in section, and the guide is provided with a guide shaft (41) circular in section, which is inserted into the guide hole.
