METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ADJUSTING VIEWING ANGLE DEVIATION OF MONITORING CAMERA AND MEDIUM FOR CONTROLLING THE DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To continue measurement of a traffic flow by eliminating the influence of viewing angle deviation without adjusting the viewing angle of a camera when the viewing angle of the camera is deviated. SOLUTION: An image processor 7 capturing picked up image obtained from a monitoring camera 1 and an image processing part 8 comparing a new template S1 which is newly obtained from the image processor 7 with an old template S0 which is previously recorded, calculating a deviation value between both templates S1 and S0, correcting the parameter of the picked up image which is newly obtained in accordance with the deviation value of the viewing angle and removing the influence of viewing angle deviation by the correction are arranged. Thus, the old image becoming a reference is compared with the new image being the present image, and the deviation value of the viewing angles is calculated. The parameter which is to be corrected in accordance with the deviation value is determined and input image data is corrected in accordance with the parameter. Then, the pseudo correction of the deviation is made even if the viewing angle θof the camera is not adjusted.
