PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor control device and a motor control method which can find out early a position detection abnormality in feedback positioning control of a servomotor, and protect an apparatus driven by the servomotor. SOLUTION: Origin signals are always monitored, and counted values of pulses of rotation detection signals of a motor are stored in matching with the timings of the generation of the origin signals. If the difference between the present counted value and the counted value previously stored and a count reference value per turn of the motor are not equal to each other, an abnormality detection signal is outputted. |
