PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a catalyst for a platinum/ ruthenium high molecular solid electrolyte fuel cell capable of supporting platinum particles or ruthenium particles in a close state without being coagulated, and having superior carbon monoxide catalyst poisoning resistance. SOLUTION: In this method of manufacturing the catalyst, a platinum- supported carbon catalyst and a ruthenium compound solution are mixed to prepare a mixture solution, and the mixture solution and a gas or a liquid having reducing action are reacted in a static mixer suitably used for stirring a mixture liquid of high viscosity under a proper concentration product of a concentration of a reducing agent and a concentration of noble metal to reduce the ruthenium. Here, a hydrogen gas or a sodium borohydride aqueous solution is properly used as the reducing agent. |
