PURPOSE:To improve the joint property of the jointed portion, and to improve the joint strength, by preparing the jointed portion of the flat bar type conductors into a taper along the direction of breadth. CONSTITUTION:The tips of conductors 1, 2, are prepared into a taper along the breadth of the conductors 1, 2; the length of the taper is made a little larger than three times of the thickness. The length of the taper can be varied by changing the taper angle theta. The depth of penetration of the brazing filler metal at the jointed portion 3 is equal to the thickness of the conductors 1, 2, and is 1/3 of the depth of penetration depending on the conventional method. As a result, the silver solder becomes easily flowable so far as the endmost, so that the undeposited zone is hardly generated. Accordingly, the joint strength is improved, and the reliable jointed portion can be obtained. The taper angle theta can be arbitrarily selected, however, the taper length is made a little larger than three times of the thickness. |
