PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector capable of surely pressing an FPC 42 or FFC against contaact part 20 of contacts 14 with a slider 16, without causing contact failures. SOLUTION: This connector is detachably fitted to the FPC 42 or FFC, and comprises the contacts 14, having the contact parts 20 contacting to the FPC 42 or FFC, a block 12 for holding and fixing the contacts 14, and the slider 16 mounted rotatably on the block 12. The purpose can be accomplished by forming, on the slider 16, a pressing part 32 for pressing the FPC 42 or FFC in being rotated and by stopping the pressing part 32 from being displaced in a direction opposite to the pressing direction with the block 12 or the contacts 14 in pressing the FPC 42 or FFC.
