PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waterproof connector with a sufficient sealing characteristic to be used, even at a construction site, without the need for changing equipment. SOLUTION: A male member waterproof cover 8 has a tubular cover body 10 covering a connecting part in a manner that a protruding pin 3 protrudes from the tip, a tip cap 11, having a through-hole 19 with the protruding pin 3 inserted therethrough and closing the tip opening of the cover body 10, and a base end cap 12 fitted around an electric cord 4 to close the gap between the periphery of the electric cord and the circumference of the base end opening of the cover body 10. A female member waterproof cover 9 has a tubular cover body 25 covering the connection, in a manner such that a pin inserting portion 23 will not protrude from the tip, a tip cap 26 having a through-hole 32 leading to the pin inserting portion 23 and closing the tip opening of the cover body 25, and a base end cap 27 fitted around an electric cord 24 to close the gap between the periphery of the electric cord and the circumference of the base end opening of the cover body 25. The male member waterproof cover 8 and the female member waterproof cover 9 are connected detachably by means of a cap nut 17.
