PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leakage of personal information and confidential information and unauthorized utilization of a touch panel device such as an information terminal easily and completely by identifying a user thereof. SOLUTION: An identification tag such as an RF tag for radio-transmitting data for identifying operators is built in a touch panel operating pen 101. Identification data transmitted from the identification tag is read by an information terminal 100, which is one of touch panel devices. The predetermined status of authorized use is switched according to the identification data. It is thus possible to prevent unauthorized use, thereby preventing leakage of the personal data and confidential data.
