PURPOSE: An air bag apparatus is provided to reduce a cost for manufacturing the air bag apparatus by casting integrally a protrusion for securing an installing space of an inflator with a housing. CONSTITUTION: A through hole(50) opened at a central side is provided at an inside of a housing(60), and a mounting ring(40) having a bolt hole(41) in which a bolt is passed through, is installed at an outer circumference side. A protrusion(80) is inserted and formed at the inside of the through hole. The protrusion is provided integrally with a housing(60) by a die casting. An inflator(30) is placed into the inside of the protrusion, and air bag cushion(20) is installed between the mounting ring(40) and the housing(60). |
