CONCRETE STRUCTURE REINFORCING METHOD AND REINFORCING FILM MEMBER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a concrete structure reinforcing method which can prevent a structure such as a concrete column and the entire concrete building from collapsing even if an earthquake occurs and a part of the structure collapses, and to provide a reinforcing film member for use in the method. SOLUTION: According to the concrete structure reinforcing method, a film member 3 is applied to the columnar concrete structure A beforehand in order to receive concrete pieces produced when a part of the structure A collapses on impact such as an earthquake. The film member consists of a plurality of sheet members with hook-and-loop fasteners at both ends of the respective sheet members, and functions to promote fragmentation of the concrete pieces in a region formed by the film member 3 and the remaining structure, to thereby restore resistance to compression of the concrete structure A.
