PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a building repairing method which facilitates correct positioning of a steel frame when it is mounted on a skeleton of a building or the like, and allows mounting thereof at an arbitrary location in a narrow space in the building or the like. SOLUTION: According to the building repairing method which is carried out by mounting a large heavy member like the steel frame at a predetermined location in the existing building, the large heavy member 1 is moved to a location near the mounting site at which the large heavy member 1 is mounted on the skeleton, by using a moving instrument 17 having a member mounting slope portion or a crane 19. Then, a pin 3 at a lower end of the large heavy member is axially supported by a pin receiver 6 formed in a mounting site floor surface, and thereafter an upper end of the large heavy member is supported by an erecting means arranged on the skeleton, followed by upward rotating and erecting the large heavy member, to thereby mount the same on the mounting site.
