摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring method and system of wheel speed that infer a snow cover or an equivalently acting drive road surface condition in monitoring of a wheel slip. SOLUTION: The monitoring method of wheel speed has a step S01 for deciding wheel speeds, a step S02 for deciding a wheel with a maximum wheel speed, a step S03 for deciding a wheel with a minimum wheel speed, a step S04 for deciding a differential speed between the maximum wheel speed and the minimum wheel speed, and a step S05 for comparing the differential speed and a threshold value. A snow cover or an equivalently acting drive road surface condition is inferred if the differential speed exceeds the threshold value, if the slowest wheel is once positively changed and the fastest wheel is once positively changed, or the slowest wheel is unchanged and the fastest wheel is unchanged, and if a differential speed between a driving axle and a non- driving axle exceeds the threshold value.
