摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rupture detection method and a device of a water supply conduit capable of detecting quickly rupture of the water supply conduit buried in the ground and hardly detected by visual inspection, and issuing an alarm. SOLUTION: In this rupture detection method, the rupture of the water supply conduit 1 is detected from the correlation between the water supply pressure of the water supply conduit 1 and a measured value of the flow rate. This device for realizing the method is equipped with a pressure sensor 2 for detecting the water supply pressure of the water supply conduit 1, a flow sensor 3 for detecting the flow rate of water flowing in the water supply conduit, and a rupture detection circuit 4 for executing a comparative operation between output signals from the pressure sensor 2 and the flow sensor 3, and detecting the rupture of the water supply conduit 1. In addition, the rupture of the water supply conduit 1 can also be detected by installing a transmission device 4 and executing the comparative operation between the output signals from both sensors 2, 3 by the rupture detection circuit 4 arranged on a remote place. An alarm output circuit for displaying an alarm or for generating an alarm sound when receiving an output signal from the rupture detection circuit is preferably provided.
