PURPOSE: A vertical banner hanger is provided to facilitate the fastening/separation of a banner by making the banner smoothly raised or lowered along a prop, thus improving the convenience of management of the banner, and to always maintain the banner in a clean condition. CONSTITUTION: In the vertical banner hanger(A) for keeping a vertical banner(a) in a spread condition about a prop, the prop that its lower end is embedded in a base(6) has upper and lower sprockets to make a driving chain circulate along an endless track, and the driving chain is connected with a lifter(2) having a plurality of holders(21) gripping the upper end of the banner. In addition, a horizontal bar(3) is installed in the lower part of the prop to be communicated with a plurality of guide tubes(4). The lower end of the guide tube is embedded in the base, and a length adjustable connector coupled with a holder(51) by interposing a coil spring(52) is installed in the tip end of the guide tube.
