PURPOSE: To provide an imaging device that can obtain images of sharp resolution. CONSTITUTION: In the imaging device having a convex rotating mirror 1, an imaging mechanism 4 that is placed at a position opposite to the mirror 1 and includes a lens 3 and an image pickup section 4, and an optical member 5 that is made of a transparent material, placed to cover the surface of the convex rotating mirror 1 and optically couples the convex rotary mirror 1 and the imaging mechanism 2, a hole 1K which contains the rotary shaft of the convex rotary mirror 1 is formed to the optical member 5, in front of an apex of the convex rotating mirror 1.
