PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for storing a line material for connecting paper making fabric which sends out the material smoothly, which does not easily cause the material to be tangled, and with which a tangle is easily corrected even if it is tangled. SOLUTION: This device for storing a line material is provided with a ring shape winding frame 4 provided with an annular storage groove 3 whose outer peripheral side is open for storing the line material and a ring shape holding frame for holding the inner peripheral side of the winding frame freely rotatively. The holding frame is provided with a stopper piece 6 covering partially the open part of the storage groove. By this, the line material is smoothly sent out preventing the tangling of the material, and even if it is tangled, through the open part of the groove, the condition can be easily corrected.
