<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pipe member for car body construction, capable of providing better rigidity distribution in the longitudinal direction and reducing the weight of a car body. SOLUTION: The pipe member 20 for car body construction forms a closed cross-section C which stretches the whole length in the longitudinal direction A, by firmly fixing a pipe wall 21 molded by extrusion with a joint line stretching the whole length in the longitudinal direction A. The pipe member 20 consists of the first pipe part 201 which has at least one bridgewall 22 which divides a hollow part 23 and also partly extends in the longitudinal direction A, having being molded integrally with the pipe wall 21 by the extrusion molding, and which has two closed spaces S by dividing the closed cross-section C with the bridgewall 22, and the second pipe part 202 which has a closed space S which has the smaller closed cross-section C than that of the closed space S of the first pipe part 201 .</p> |
