PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner which can meet both of moving read mode and/or holding-to-beam read mode, and to reduce the size of the whole apparatus by devising the arrangement of the optical system of a reader. SOLUTION: In the optical scanner having a laser beam source 1, an optical scanning means 2, and a signal detecting means 8, the laser beam source 1 is provided with an optical axis change means 1S which selectively aligns an optical axis on the multistage reflective surfaces 2u and 2d of the optical scanning means 2. |
