<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To excellently remove nitrogen oxide(NOx) contained in exhaust gas of a marine diesel engine and reduce a cost required for denitration. SOLUTION: The marine diesel engine 1 comprises an NOx removal system 10 situated on the exhaust inlet side of a supercharger 4; a bypass line L4 situated in a manner to bypass the NOx removal system 10 and capable of introduce exhaust gas directly to the supercharger 4; a flow rate regulating valve FRV situated in the middle of the bypass line L4; a thermometer 11 to detect the internal temperature of the NOx removal system; and a control device 20 to control the flow rate regulating valve FRV based on the measurements of the thermometer 11.</p> |
