<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device that can steadily form an electrostatic latent image on a latent carrier corresponding to a writing voltage, assures excellent resolution, prevents filming on the latent image carrier, and prolongs the life of the latent image carrier. SOLUTION: The image forming device 1 includes at least a latent image carrier 2 which has a charge injection layer on its surface and on which an electrostatic latent image is formed, a writing device 3 which has a writing electrode 3b for writing the electrostatic latent image on the latent image carrier 2, and a developing device 4 which reversely develops the electrostatic latent image by use of negatively electrified toner. The image forming device forms the electrostatic latent image by bringing the writing electrode 3b into contact with the latent image carrier 2 opposing the rotating direction of the latent image carrier 2. In the image forming device, a work function of a surface of each of the toner particles with which the negatively electrified toner is formed is greater than a work function of a surface of the writing electrode.</p> |
