PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a PTC(positive temperature coefficient) element where variation in resistivity among the elements becomes small, even when the PTC element is prepared by using the electrically conductive composition where electrically conductive fillers are highly dispersed easily. SOLUTION: In this method for manufacturing the PTC element, a solution where a crystalline polymer component is dissolved in a solvent is prepared and then the electrically conductive fillers are mixed with and dispersed in the solution to prepare a solution. The solution where the electrically conductive fillers are dispersed is applied so as to be held between a electrode 14A and a electrode 14B composed of copper foil. Then, the solvent involved in the applied solution is evaporated and the PTC element 10 is manufactured by forming the element 12 where the electrode 14A is joined to the electrode 14B.
