PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an imaging apparatus having an electronic sort function for storing a plurality of pages of image data in a memory and sorting the image data in the order of page to form an image in which sorting of sheets being stacked on a sheet discharge tray is facilitated. SOLUTION: When the sort function and image rotation are selected, images are rotated by 180 deg. alternately for every number of copies before being outputted to a recording sheet.
