PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pump shaft sealing device equipped with an enhanced durability and allowing reducing the sealing member replacing frequency to a great extent. SOLUTION: Each shaft sealing part 4 of a pump is equipped with an outer stop ring 11 and an inner stop ring 12 in a mutual displacement such that the outer stop ring 11 is in slide contact with one seal surface 17 and the inner stop ring 12 separates from another seal surface 21 within the wear tolerable range D of the outer stop ring 11, and further a spring 23 is installed which moves the outer stop ring 11 toward the seal surface 17 as the wear progresses.
