A manually-operated labeller for use with a plurality of labels (21) which are consecutively stuck onto a carrier strip (20) comprises a carrier strip turnback part (61) for separating the labels in sequence from the carrier strip, a feed drum (53) rotational movement of which intermittently feeds said carrier strip, and two feed rollers (54, 55) which press the carrier strip onto the feed drum to oppose the feed drum under pressure. A part-circular guide member (57) which forms a clearance for feeding the carrier strip between the guide member and the outer periphery of the feed drum is provided between the two feed rollers and a pivotable frame (80) is positioned between the feed rollers on the peripheral part of the drum not covered by the guide member (57) and is provided with a stripper (815) to separate the carrier strip from the feed drum. The pivotable frame is further provided with a cutting edge (814) for cutting the carrier strip, is pivoted at a position near feed roller (55) and the stripper (815) preferably enters a circumferential groove (532) in the drum. A printing device (40,41) may be provided. At least one ridge may be formed on the surface of the frame (80) which faces away from the drum, so that any labels inadvertently left on carrier strip during initial threading up of the device and which are separated out at feed-in roller (54) and pushed onto the external surface of the frame can be easily removed. <IMAGE> |
