PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper which can be easily fitted on a wearer regardless of the facing of the back side section wherein a fastening tape is provided to either one of the back side or the belly side of the wearer, and is hard to generate dropping or a urine leakage during the wearing in either case. SOLUTION: A waist section elastic member 7 and a plurality of body peripheral section elastic members 8 are respectively arranged on the waist opening edge section D and the body peripheral section E on the back side section A wherein the fastening tape 5 having a fixing section 51 is provided. Then, at both sides in the longitudinal direction, a pair of leg section elastic members 9 are arranged for this disposable diaper which is substantially longitudinally long. Then, on the internal side of both side edges of the back side section A, a second fixing section 52 is provided. End sections 71, 81 and 91, which are closer to both side edges of the back side section A, of the waist section elastic member 7, the body peripheral section elastic members 8, and the leg section elastic member 9 are respectively located in the vicinity of the second fixing sections 52.
