PURPOSE:Bath salts for medical purpose that contains potassium polysulfide, thus giving bath water similar to a sulfur spring in its composition, odor and color and having effect for dermatoses. CONSTITUTION:Potassium carbonate and sulfur are mixed at a molar ratio of from 1/2 to 1/5, they are melted with heat in no contact with the air, then gradually cooled to give potassium polysulfide of K2Sx (x is integer of 2-5). The potassium polysulfide can be combined with other inorganic bath salts such as carbonate or bicarbonate salts and their kinds and amounts are appropriately selected to give a composition similar to that of natural hot spring. |
