<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of film hair when flange working is applied to a welded can barrel for a three piece can which is manufactured from a coated metallic plate laminated with thermoplastic resin film, by preventing the occurrence of peeling of the thermoplastic resin film at the time of cutting the coated metallic film plate. SOLUTION: The welded can barrel for a three piece can is manufactured as follows: a coated metallic plate which is continuously laminated with thermoplastic film 2 in the longitudinal direction is cut into blanks; a cylindrical can barrel is formed by bend-working the plate and welding a overlapped part; and neck and flange working is executed on both end parts of the can barrel. When a belt-like coated metal plate is cut into blanks in the above process, the resin (a thermoplastic resin film 2) which is stuck to a metal plate 1 is previously cut and removed by a prescribed width, along a part 12 to be cut corresponding to an opening end part of the can barrel, and at a part other than a non-laminated part 11 corresponding to a welding part of the can barrel.</p> |
