PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the moisture content of hydrous sludge from being increased rapidly by returning the dirtied washing water to a sludge hopper in a sludge hopper housing facility and a sludge treating facility. SOLUTION: This sludge hopper housing facility 21 is provided with sludge hoppers 8A, 8B for storing hydrous sludge G and a dirty water recovering mechanism 22 for recovering dirty water D and returning the water D to the hoppers 8A, 8B when the hoppers 8A, 8B or pipes connected to the hoppers 8A, 8B are washed. The mechanism 22 is provided with a dirty water recovering tank 23 for recovering and storing the water D, a dirty water returning pipe 24 connected between the tank 23 and the hoppers 8A, 8B and a dirty water returning pump 25 arranged on the pipe 24 for returning the water D in the tank 23 to the hoppers 8A, 8B.
