PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid metal manufacturing device capable of reducing the quantity of cutting fluid contained in the manufactured solid metal, and improving solidity of the solid metal. SOLUTION: A hopper for accommodating metal chip is provided, an outlet 13 is provided in a bottom side of the hopper, a feed screw conveyor for conveying the metal chip in the hopper to the outlet side is provided, a compression box 39 having a compression chamber 41 connected with the outlet is provided, an opening part 51 is provided on one end side of the compression box, a gate for opening/closing this opening part is provided, a compression member 65 is provided in the compression chamber slidably in the advancing/ retracting direction to/from the gate 55 by the operation of a compression actuator 69, release grooves 71 and 75 for releasing cutting solution adhered to metal chip therefrom are formed on the outer circumferential surface of the compression member 65 and on one side face of the compression box, and the clearance grooves are arranged to communicate with the outside and the inside of the compression chamber.
