PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treating machine in which the treated material can be produced impartially and good balance can always be kept and from the discharge port of which the treated material can be discharged very efficiently. SOLUTION: This garbage treating machine is constituted so that a rotary shaft 1 is arranged in a treating tank 3 to be repeatedly rotated normally or reversely by a driving means such as a motor 8, the discharge port 5 is arranged oppositely to the central part of the shaft 1 and bar-like paddles 2 are arranged on the shaft 1 so that they are projected radially around the shaft 1, lined up to form a spiral shape as a whole and made symmetric with respect with the port 5.
