PURPOSE: An apparatus for confirming a CID(Caller ID) in a keyphone main system and a method therefor are provided to select a user's receipt setting mode as an outing mode, approach a place in which the keyphone main system is installed from the outside, and easily confirm the CID received to a user. CONSTITUTION: An office line call circuit(14) connects a CPU(11) to a switch(1) for performing an office line call. The CPU(11) receives data in which a CID received from the switch(1) is analyzed through a CID box(2) and decodes the received data. A DVU(Digitized Voice Interface Unit)(12) stores and reproduces voice data. A memory(13) stores a certain CID.
