PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner easily resettable with the simple constitution. SOLUTION: Voltage of a constant voltage power source becomes a voltage value VR lower than a voltage value V1 by setting operation of a weak setting switch 20b and a strong setting switch 20c of an operation means 21 arranged in a gripping part of a hose. The voltage value VR of a reversal input terminal of an operation amplifier 38 is compared with the voltage value V1 of a nonreversal input terminal. Output is made between a microcomputer 31 and a connecting point of a reset part 33 from an output terminal of the operation amplifier 38, and a motor-driven air blower is controlled in driving without resetting. When extracting the hose from a suction part of a cleaner body, the voltage value VR of the reversal input terminal of the operation amplifier 38 becomes higher than the voltage value V1 of the nonreversal input terminal. The output terminal of the operation amplifier 38 is grounded, the microcomputer 31 is reset by the reset part 33, and driving of the cleaner body and an electric motor is stopped. A reset switch is not separately required, the constitution can be simplified, and the vacuum cleaner can be easily reset.
