The invention relates to carboxylic acid amides of formula (I), wherein R1 to R5, Ar, m and n are defined in Claim 1, their tautomers, their stereoisomers, their mixtures, their prodrugs and their salts, which exhibit valuable properties. The compounds of the above mentioned formula (I), wherein R5 represents a cyano group, are valuable intermediates for the production of other compounds of formula (I). The compounds of said formula (I), wherein R5 represents one of the amidino groups mentioned in Claim 1, exhibit valuable pharmacological properties, especially an antithrombotic property and a factor Xa-inhibitory property.
