PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To identify an e-mail virus early even if it is unknown, to suppress the transmission of an e-mail to be a possible e-mail virus, and to notify a specified e-mail address of the information about e-mail viruses and the transmission/reception history of the sender of the e-mail virus. SOLUTION: An e-mail virus detection system comprises an address decision means for judging whether or not a mail has been sent to an e-mail virus detection address to which no mail is to be sent usually, an e-mail suppressing means for suppressing the transmission of the same type of mail as the mail sent to the e-mail virus detection address, and a virus notification means for sending an e-mail to a destination to be notified of the detection of e-mail address detection indicating the transmission of the mail to the e-mail virus detection address. |
