PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out full-duplex communication using a request-response type protocol. SOLUTION: An HTTP(hypertext transfer protocol)-SOCKET conversion function 27 generates threads for transmission and receipt after transmitting a connection request to a host computer 1 fed from a user application 20 to a WWW server 5. A data transmission function 24 sends a data transmission request including the transmission data fed by the user application 20 to the WWW server 5 via a transmission session, while a data transmission function 29 transmits the received request to the host computer 1 after converting it into a specific TCP/IP(Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) socket communication protocol. A data receiving function 25 sends the data receipt request fed from the user application 20 to the WWW server 5 via a receiving session, while a data receiving function 30 sends the received request to the host computer 1 after converting it into the communication protocol, and then, transmits response data replied according to the request to a client terminal 2 via the receiving session after converting the response data into an HTTP.
