PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor having excellent durability. SOLUTION: In this gas sensor, a detection part 3 has a detection electrode 5 including a detection electrode reaction layer 51 and a detection electrode gas diffusion layer 52; a counter electrode 6 including a counter electrode reaction layer 61 and a counter electrode gas diffusion layer 62; and an electrolyte layer 4 provided between them, contacting with the detection electrode reaction layer 51 and the counter electrode reaction layer 61. The detection electrode reaction layer 51 has a function oxidizing CO and/or H2 in a test gas and is disposed with plural detection electrode reaction layer units 511 mainly composed of a catalyst promoting oxidization of CO and/or H2 apart from each other. |
