PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring instrument capable of surely detecting the occurrence of abnormality in measurement data, which are measured by a measuring instrument as a transmission source, in a main body of measuring instrument or on a network in the destination to report. SOLUTION: This measuring instrument is provided with a means for transmitting the detection of abnormality in at least one of s measuring signal and the measuring instrument to the destination to report by electronic mail and a means for transmitting the electronic mail to the destination to report at the interval of preset prescribed time.
