The kitchen furniture (1) has an insulated interior (2) for cooking and/or keeping hot heated food which has been introduced therein in pots or similar containers. On one side, the furniture (1) has a door (3), flap or similar closure of its removal opening (4). The outer housing of the furniture (1) and the door (3) or the like consist of metal or chromium-steel sheet. The thermal insulation (5) is mounted on the inside of said housing and of the door. Passing around the edge of the door is a seal which, at the same time, also insulates the metal edge of the door. The interior (2) of the furniture (1) is lined with plastic, glass, metal or ceramic both on the door (3) and on the other surfaces. In this case, glass, metal and ceramic serve primarily for covering the standing surface (6) on which hot pots can be placed. This thus results in an item of kitchen furniture (1) which can be integrated in a fitted kitchen and can receive hot food for cooking and keeping hot, at the same time providing a large interior (2) which can easily be kept clean. <IMAGE>
