The invention relates to a method for modifying polymer melts by finely divided inorganic solid particles (melt modification method). According to the inventive method, a powdery additive is incorporated into the polymer. Said additive contains the inorganic solid particles having a maximum grain size of 1 mu m embedded finely divided in an organic substance matrix. Said organic substance contains one or more of the materials polyols, polyglycols, polyethers, dicarboxylic acids and the derivatives thereof, AH salt, caprolactam, paraffins, phosphoric esters, hydroxycarboxylic esters and cellulose.
