Improved multi-segment, hardened, wear resistant sleeve for oil seal portion of roller journal shaft of Raymond and similar type mills and oil seal/gland packing portion of similar shafts comprising plurality of segments of the said sleeve being machined with hard, smooth wear resistant outer surface, further having arrangement to fixedly mounting the sleeve over the said shaft with the help of suitable fixtures such as screws, the said multi-segment sleeve will be mounted over suitably prepared recesses having circular or polygonal matching seat area and can be used twice over due to my novel design feature involving placement positions and increased width of sleeve.
